Richard Kučera Guzmán

Richard sa venuje projektom, koordinácii tímu v agentúre a má vášeň pre tvorbu dizajnu a umenia. Je absolventom Vysokej školy výtvarných umení v Bratislave. Štúdium ukončil na katedre Vizuálnej komunikácie pod vedením doc. Mgr. art. Marcela Benčíka, ArtD. Bakalárske štúdium ukončil v študijnom odbore Výtvarné umenie na Katedre fotografie a nových médií Vysokej školy výtvarných umení v Bratislave. V roku 2017 sa zúčastnil stáže na španielskej univerzite Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño de Valencia. Spolupracoval s galériami a kultúrnymi inštitúciami ako Slovenská národ­ná galéria, Zoya Gallery alebo Slovenské národné múzeum. Pôsobil v grafických, vydavateľských i reklamných spoločnostiach, neskôr si založil vlastnú kreatívnu agentúru RICHIE..

V súčasnosti pôsobí aj ako pedagóg na Škole umeleckého priemyslu Josefa Vydru v Bratislave. Richard má za sebou niekoľko úspešných projektov: Karol Kállay – Zaostrené na krásu, Bratislava : RICHIE.. a Vydavateľstvo Slovart. /dizajn, foundraising, editovanie/ (ocenenie Najkrajšie knihy Slovenska 2019 a výber na výstavu do Národnej ceny za dizajn 2020). Navrhol dizajn viacerých publikácií ako napríklad monografiu Rudolf Sikora – Sám s foto­grafiou (zaradenie medzi najkrajšie knihy Slovenska za rok 2017). Okrem dizajnérskej tvorby a rozličným projektom pôsobí od roku 2014 ako vizuálny umelec. Pri svojej tvorbe často využíva súčasné technológie a v jeho inštaláciách často využíva intermediálne presahy do rôznych médií. Má za sebou viacero kolektívnych aj samostatných výstav.

Richard works on projects, coordinating the team at the agency and has a passion for design and art making. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. He completed his studies at the Department of Visual Communication under the guidance of Assoc. Mgr. Marcel Benčík, ArtD. He completed his bachelor studies in Fine Arts at the Department of Photography and New Media of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. In 2017 he participated in an internship at the Spanish University Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño de Valencia. He has collaborated with galleries and cultural institutions such as the Slovak National Gallery, Zoya Gallery and the Slovak National Museum. He worked in graphic, publishing and advertising companies, later he founded his own creative agency RICHIE..

Currently he is also a teacher at the Josef Vydra School of Art Industry in Bratislava. Richard has several successful projects under his belt: Karol Kállay – Focused on Beauty, Bratislava : RICHIE.. and Slovart Publishing House. /design, foundraising, editing/ (award The Most Beautiful Books of Slovakia 2019 and selection for the exhibition for the National Design Award 2020). He has designed several publications such as the monograph Rudolf Sikora – Alone with Photography (included in the Most Beautiful Books of Slovakia for 2017). In addition to his design work and various projects, he has been working as a visual artist since 2014. He often uses contemporary technologies in his work and his installations often use intermedia overlaps into different media. He has had several collective and solo exhibitions.

Oleksandra Bakushina / externá spolupráca – externship

Cieľavedomá a dôsledná dizajnérka Oleksandra, ktorú voláme Saša, oživuje náš tím vždy vtedy keď riešime priestorový dizajn. Oleksandra sa po skúsenostiach s interiérovým dizajnom v Kyjeve rozhodla nastúpiť na štúdiá na Vysokej škole výtvarných umení v Bratislave. Bakalárske štúdium absolvovala na katedre Dizajnu v ateliéri Industrial dizajn. V rámci štúdia absolvovala aj medziodborové stáže na katedre Úžitkového umenia, v ateliéroch S+M+L_XL – Kov a šperk a ateliéri Keramika. Absolvovala zahraničnú stáž v holandskom Rotterdame na Willem de Kooning Academy. V súčasnosti pôsobí v ateliéri Art design, kde je na magisterskom štúdiu.

The goal-oriented and consistent designer Oleksandra, whom we call Sasha, brings our team to life whenever we are dealing with spatial design. Oleksandra decided to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava after her experience with interior design in Kiev. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the Department of Design in the Industrial Design studio. As part of her studies, she also completed interdisciplinary internships at the Department of Applied Arts, in the studios S+M+L_XL – Metal and Jewellery and the Ceramics studio. She completed a foreign internship in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, at the Willem de Kooning Academy. She is currently working in the Art design studio, where she is studying for her Master’s degree.

OCENENIA / AWARDS

Ďalšie ocenenie publikácie Karol Kállay – Zostrené na krásu: Publikácia so ocitla medzi finalistami Národnej ceny za dizajn 2020 v kategórii Komunikačný dizajn. Publikácia postúpila napriek obrovskej konkurencii v tejto kategórii, z čoho sa nesmierne tešíme.

Naša publikácia Karol Kállay – Zaostrené na krásu, získala titul Najkrajšie knihy Slovenska 2019 v kolekcii Knihy o výtvarnom umení a obrazové publikácie.  Do tohto ročníka súťaže sa zapojil doteraz najväčší počet kníh – až 214. Porota, ktorej predsedom bol Karol Felix, vybrala dvadsať kníh a dvanásť študentských prác a udelila sedem hlavných cien. Knihu Karol Kállay – Zaostrené na krásu napísali historičky umenia Lucia Almášiová, Zuzana Šidlíková, o jej vizuálne stvárnenie sa postaral Richard Kučera Guzmán. Vydala ju kreatívna agentúra RICHIE.. v spolupráci s Vydavateľstvom SLOVART. Ďakujeme porote a taktiež gratululeme ostatným oceneným titulom!

Bibiana v spolupráci s Ministerstvom kultúry SR, Ministerstvom školstva, vedy, výskumu a športu, Slovenskou národnou knižnicou a Zväzom polygrafie na Slovensku zaradilo publikáciu Rudolf Sikora – Sám s fotografiou medzi Najkrajšie knihy slovenska 2017.

Zväz polygrafie na Slovensku udelil cenu Zlatá pečať 2017 agentúre RICHIE v kategórii kniha za excelentné spracovanie architektúry knihy Peter Pollág.

Another award for the publication Karol Kállay – Focused on Beauty: the publication is among the finalists of the National Design Award 2020 in the Communication Design category. The publication was shortlisted in the National Design Award for Design in the Czech Republic, despite the huge competition in this category, which we are extremely happy about.

Our publication, Karol Kállay – Focused on Beauty, was awarded the title of the Most Beautiful Books of Slovakia 2019 in the collection of Books on Fine Arts and Picture Publications.  This year’s competition involved the largest number of books to date – up to 214. The jury, chaired by Karol Felix, selected twenty books and twelve student entries and awarded seven main prizes. The book Karol Kállay – Focused on Beauty was written by art historians Lucia Almášiová and Zuzana Šidlíková, and its visual design was created by Richard Kučera Guzmán. It was published by the creative agency RICHIE.. in cooperation with SLOVART Publishing House. Thank you to the jury and congratulations to the other award-winning titles!

Bibiana in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic, the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport, the Slovak National Library and the Association of Polygraphy in Slovakia included the publication Rudolf Sikora – Alone with Photography among the Most Beautiful Books of Slovakia 2017.

The Association of Polygraphy in Slovakia awarded the Golden Seal 2017 prize to the RICHIE agency in the book category for the excellent treatment of the architecture of the book Peter Pollág.
